Discover the power and benefits of mindfulness

Find out why so many people around the world are embracing mindfulness. This three-hour introductory workshop is an informal opportunity to discuss mindfulness and learn basic mindful techniques. It is recommended for those who are curious about and new to mindfulness. You will experiment with how to be more attentive and aware, how to be more resilient, how to be less reactive, and how to be more responsive in everyday life! This is a fun and engaging session with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discover the benefits of mindfulness for you! 

In a single session you will:
• Learn very specific techniques to work with the mind and body
• Develop resources to help you feel more alive in everyday life
• Have an open forum to ask any questions you may have about mindfulness meditation and practices

Who should attend
Recommended for anyone curious about mindfulness and what it could mean for them.

This class is led by Elaine Smookler, a psychotherapist, a teacher, writer and performer who has been practicing mindfulness for 20 years. She has written about Mindfulness for The Medical Post, Mindful Magazine, the Toronto Fringe Festival, and has been a frequent guest on the CBC.
