ABOUT ABOUT

Discover the benefits of meditation first-hand at this introductory workshop.

This three-hour workshop offers an opportunity for individuals considering enrolling in either our therapeutic or professional development courses learn about and experience the basics of mindfulness. Mindfulness practices give us a way to get some space from the constant chatter in our heads that can be a source of distress. Mindfulness has been validated by research as a simple way to calm our minds and slow down our tendency to react automatically. It gives us a wider perspective on our experiences and increases the number of ways we can choose to respond. It teaches us to be less caught up in life’s uncomfortable moments.

In a single session you will:

  • Learn very specific techniques to work with the mind and body
  • Develop resources to help you feel more alive in everyday life
  • Have an open forum to ask any questions you may have about mindfulness meditation and practices
  • Find that you might want to return again, and again, to deepen your practice
