Explore the power and of mindfulness

During this day-long immersive workshop, you will learn about and explore mindfulness, what it is, where it comes from and what it can do for you. Discover and explore the neuroscience behind it as you delve into the basic techniques of mindfulness. Join us for an engaging and informative day of instruction, exercises, conversation and practice. You will be introduced to a variety of mindfulness practices, learning to anchor your attention in the present moment. You will learn ways to help the mind settle, enabling you to be more attentive and aware, more resilient, and responsive.

Who should attend
The Beginners’ full-day workshop is recommended for anyone interested in exploring Mindfulness, particularly those considering enrolling in our therapeutic or professional development programs.

Facilitator
Elaine Smookler B.Mus.

This class is led by Elaine Smookler, a teacher, writer and performer who has been practicing mindfulness for 20 years. She has written about Mindfulness for The Medical Post, Mindful Magazine, the Toronto Fringe Festival, and has been a frequent guest on the CBC.
