Discover the power and benefits of mindfulness

This three-hour introductory session is an informal morning of conversation and instruction in basic techniques. It is recommended for those who are curious about mindfulness and want to understand how it works. Discover why so many people around the world are embracing mindfulness. You will experience how to quiet the mind and be more attentive and aware, how to be more resilient, and how to be more responsive, less reactive! This is a fun and engaging morning with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discover the benefits of mindfulness for you!


In a single session you will:
• Learn very specific techniques to work with the mind and body
• Develop resources to help you feel more alive in everyday life
• Have an open forum to ask any questions you may have about mindfulness meditation and practices

Elaine Smookler B.Mus.

This class is led by Elaine Smookler, a teacher, writer and performer who has been practicing mindfulness for 20 years. She has written about Mindfulness for The Medical Post, Mindful Magazine, the Toronto Fringe Festival, and has been a frequent guest on the CBC.
