Discover the power and benefits of mindfulness in-person from an experienced facilitator

This full-day immersive workshop gives the time and space needed to go deeper in understanding mindfulness and integrating it into everyday life. Develop a starter kit to help bring the benefits of mindfulness to your work, family and friends. Discover the neuroscience behind it as you delve into the techniques. Improve personal awareness and resiliency through this engaging day of instruction, conversation and practice.

Participants Will Learn
• Mindfulness practices you can use on the street, in the elevator, and at the mall
• How to establish a mindfulness practice with feedback and guidance
• Develop resources to anchor attention and regulate stress responses
• Participate in an open forum to ask questions about mindfulness meditation and practices

Who Should Attend
Anyone with a heartbeat! Build a practical toolkit to bring new perspectives to daily difficulties. The Beginners’ Mindfulness workshops are also recommended for those considering enrolling in our therapeutic or professional development programs. Completing the half-day workshop is not a requirement to attend the full-day workshop.

Facilitator
Elaine Smookler B.Mus. RP

This class is led by Elaine Smookler, a psychotherapist, a teacher, writer and performer who has been practicing mindfulness for 20 years. She has written about Mindfulness for The Medical Post, Mindful Magazine, the Toronto Fringe Festival, and has been a frequent guest on the CBC.

Registration is limited.

Fee: $150.
